About Me
Background
I'm currently a computational immunologist, data scientist, bioinformatician, and jack-of-many-other-trades in the Understanding Childhood Arthritis Network initiative, whose genesis was partly driven by my PhD work.
As a part of this network, I get to work with fantastic people from the clinical, basic science, and statistical realms – often all at once.
Education
I obtained my PhD in Immunology and the Combined Graduate Program in Genome Biology and Bioinformatics at University of Toronto, where I was co-supervised by both Dr. Rae Yeung and Dr. Quaid Morris.
I leveraged my background in both computer science and immunology to explore how to create a data-driven disease classification for juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) using unsupervised machine learning.

If you're in Toronto, or Vancouver or Kitchener-Waterloo when I'm there, I'd be happy to meet in person (when the COVID-19 pandemic is over).
